Default Monticello NY Track hotels???

I know it is new so maybe knows the answer

I am looking for a hotel that is CLEAN and has room for a trailers. I looked at a few and the reviews have words like

"I cant believe this dive is still in business"
"The carpet smells like dirty feet"
“Bad would be an improvement”
“Shabbiness @ A High Price.”
"Stay far away from this dump‎"
"This place needs professional help"

The one hotel Best Western which looks decent requires a 2 night stay

Maybe I just need to look outside Monticello...

I don't think there is much in the way of nice hotels in Monticello. You should look in Middletown there are a couple of brand new hotels right off the Middletown exit on 17 west and that is about 15 - 20 minutes away from the track. There are also tons of restaurants to eat at right there too.

Please post your list and reviews. I don't need the Ritz, but my trailer, generator, and sleeping bag sounds better than carpet that smels like feet.

I will match the reviews I read with the hotels. After we go up there next week I can give you a better idea what is in the neighborhood. Right now I am looking at Middletown based on everyone's suggestions....

right now I booked the Marriott hotel since I have Marriott Rewards and it doesnt cost me anything, but I am going to look at a few others like the Microtel Inn and Suites since that place looks to be good at a good price

80.00 USD AAA RATE QUEEN BED, DESK AND 25 INCH TV

Liberty exit 100, may be a better choice. It's closer to the track than middletown, exit 120. Liberty is a decent size city, although not 1/2 as city like as middletown.

if you break something, there is a GREAT hardware store off exit 109.
Trading Post, in rock hill.

also, for people trailering with any thing less than a real tow vehicle. The Wartsburo hills around exit 113 get pretty steep.

If your into college town bars, sullivan CC college isn't too far. There were 2 happening bars down there.

This is a beautiful time of year to be up there.
There is gambling up there, but I have not seen it yet.

I plan to be there Thursday evening 09/26. Looks like a good place for the night.

Can the parking lot accommodate trailers?

they may give a better rate if you tell them you are for an event.
You should be OK with a trailer.
I just installed an AMB timing loop on the south course
