Replacing only the front tires
Hello folks,
I have a C6 daily driver that sees 1/2 dozen HPDEs a year.
For those track days (and not for daily driving), I have been using some stock size BFG KDW street tires.
After about 10 track days, mostly on counter-clockwise tracks, my front passenger tire is really worn. My front driver tire is also getting there but not as bad. My two rears look almost like new.
Is it ok to replace just the front tires? Any issues with having newer front tires and older rears, that have gone through more heat cycles?
I'm not a racer, just an intermediate-level driver on street tires, so I'm not sure if replacing all four is worth the much larger cost.
Thx!

Go ahead and replace just the fronts. You will not have a problem. I have done it many times with both street and race tires. Unless you are an at the limit driver you will never notice the difference.
