FINALLY won Super Stock at my venue.
Steve Kidd in an '04 Porsche GT3 has won the first 7 events of our season. He's fast and is always right near the top of the field. He's been doing autocross for at least 20 years. Our group has some strong finishers from the recent nationals in Topeka. Darrin Disimo, Dave Lehman, and Hector San Nicholas. Darrin and Hector both trophied in Topeka.
Anyways, I've never been much more than 1.5 seconds within Steve. I was in 3rd place going into my 4th and final run and was still 7/10ths away from 2nd. Not sure how I did it, but I had a fantastic lap and beat Steve Kidd by 6/10ths.
Dave Lehman keeps telling me that the C6 Z06 is not as good as the C5 Z06. I'm trying like hell to prove him wrong.

In Steve's defense, he let Darrin Disimo run his Porsche and ended up with a corded front right tire.

The Travis Hair dude was a timing fluke. He ran high 70's to low 80's all day and is a NOVICE. Lucky him.

I just wish I had some other Super Stock drivers here in my region. I am going to have to just gage my times off other national level drivers here and then see how their times compared to SS times @ nationals to see how far back I am...
