Will it take a larger SD card? Like 4 GB, 8 GB? or is it limited to 2GB?
Will it take 30 min on a 1GB card?

Thanks!

Did they update the mic system on the new camera? My GoPro is useless because the audio is nothing more than constant static at anything above 15 mph.

Try setting the sound level to HI. For any loud situations, the software will work better in the HI setting.

I've used both settings. On one setting you get nothing, no sound at all, and on the other, nothing but static.

According to GoPro it will record 56 minutes of video with sound on a 2GB card. I honestly don't see why you couldn't use a larger card for it but I have never tried one.

Can it be hard-wired for power?

The limiting factor on recording sounds like the batteries, so with a larger card and hard wire, could it then record for the longer Enduro races we run?

Thanks

I have never tried to hardwire one in, I would be more than happy to do a bit of research and see.

Thanks, that would be great. I know at least one other person who wants to do this, owns one Gopro now and is considering buying more.

Did you use it inside or outside the car? I found with mine that if it was in the wind it didn't work at all. Even if it was in the car if the windows were down it was pretty bad

We used it briefly on the outside of the car but no really high speed runs with it.

I will let you know what I come up with on wiring it.

Does anyone else have a problem with choppy playback? Seems the video sorta 'scoots' forward instead of smooth play (race speeds).......

The video playback on mine is OK, Thunder, it's just audio that's no good.

I guess thats true too..........we use the PRO for a reverse view cam and our standard 'lipstick' cam out the front.........works pretty well.........
