That was nice. No wonder your turning faster laps than Ron Fellows. why is the shift lever so tall? It looks like the ape hangers on a Harley...

The shift lever is tall because you need leverage to pull it back. You want it high and tight so you have minimal time with your hand off the steering wheel.

Here are a few shots when it was first instaled before the car's interior was completed with the CF dash.

Mike,

Thanks for the info. Are you going to bring this monster to Thunderhill with the NCM in July? I'd like to have a ride. Well, I'd rather drive it but.......think it would scare me

Hey, I'm in the same boat as you waiting for the snow to melt over here. Watching this thing live in the shop and not being able to take it out is pure teasing.

If your going to run an "off the charts" monster like that the least you can do is hand out free ear plugs to anyone within a 1/2 mile radius.

Here's a chart I posted a short while ago from Katech's engine dyno.

I will post a chassis dyno chart when the tune is complete.

Although the power is simply amazing, I never get too excited about the actual numbers or think I need 'X' amount. I'm not a drag racer and care more about the suspension tuning, aero and brakes.

This car is like a big shoe and I'm still trying to grow into it.

That thing sounds ungodly! I don't think I even need to go to the track anymore. I'm just going to keep playing this soundtrack at home! I can't wait to see it in person. Awesome Mike!

Sweet, sweet music!

Never having had a sequential with "no-lift", I had to adopt the poor man's version: apply a bit of pressure on the shift lever just before the limiter and during the hick-up it would shift just about as quickly. Added up to 10ths a lap saved, but I couldn't vary the shift point on the fly as you can with the real deal.

After watching that video, you've got me seriously contemplating a Renegate sequential shifter for my C3. Just what I need, yet another project for the list.

Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Snitz,

I look forward to playing a duet with you once you're up to speed in your monster!
