Default anyone going to VIR March 2/3?

This will be my first time at this track and I am really looking forward to it, Have watched most of utube videos and the track looks awsome! ( and I have been warned about turn 10) What is a respectable lap time there?

depends what you're driving. If its your first time there, I'd not worry about times and just focus on driving.

Default Vir

I'll be there in the intermediate group. VR 07 vette. I don't worry about times, just there to have a good time and bring it home in one piece. Wally is right, focus on driving, the times will take care of themselves. See ya at VIR.

Will see you guys there! I'm looking forward to getting back out on track this year.

Lap times - it really varies, depending on your experience level and talent, but a broad range for a stock C5 Z06 or C6 might be

2.30-2.40 (or slower) for novices just starting out
2.20-2.30 for intermediates
2.15-2.20 for intermediate/advanced guys pushing a little harder
2.08 to 2.15 for advanced pushing harder still, with tires
2.03-2.06 for T1 drivers/cars

I wouldn't recommend going for a fast lap time at VIR first time out. It is a very technical and challenging track, and the learning curve may be steep depending on your experience.

I am really looking forward to this event, I did not intend to make it seem i am concerned about times, just out to be safe and have some fun I have requested an instructor to get familiar with the track, and there recently was posted a great video from the guys at ecs. There is 3 in of snow here today and i am so stoked to be on track next week!!

what is your name? I'm about to sign up as an instructor. I'll request you as a student.
