C5's with 346 cid what are your cam choices?
I'm looking down the road to add some power to my C5Z and was looking for some insight as to what others were using. I am considering something like a 224/228, 581/588/112 LSA for extra snap with area under the curve. Any opinions will be appreciated

I would be happy to quote you for a mail order package, or if you can get the car to MN we could install-tune.

just under 430rw using a 232/234 112 comp cam.. to me its the perfect size. My first cam was the size you are considering and all I can say is...reconsider...go a bit bigger, the driveability is the same..

What ever you're considering - go one bigger. It's a lesson I learned. You'll find much better cams for LS6 heads (little bigger and provide much more hp/tq) that offer great idle and driveability.

I have a 224/230, .591/.591, 113 Cartek cam w/ older Cartek Stage II heads (read: not all that great), Kooks LTs, 90/90 and an awesome tune (thanks to Nick @ Newtech) and I did 442 RWHP/414RWTQ. Great driveability, good combo. There's probably better cams out these days though (my build is about 4 years old) and certainly better heads.

Any recommendations on a mild cam to compliment a stock LS1 with headers? I need to pass CA smog and I'm estimating I'll need about a 20rwhp addition to what I have. All the mfg's seem to have different split patterns so I have a hard time choosing. I'm thinking 114 or so split with a high teen/low 20 duration and a little biased towards the exhaust.

I had two different cams in my LS6 and both were 228/232. One was on a 112+2 and the other was 115+3. I loved the second one. The driveability was near perfect. No idle tuning necessary. The first was much harder to tune and I never did get rid of the "jerks" under 1600 rpms.
