Canadian MOD class MR2 stripped down as much as the rules permit, which evidently is quite a bit! That's one of the FTD cars at our events and fun to watch.

We have an MR2 that's been stripped even more than that. Runs in EM "I think". Tiny little thing with plastic sides. Can't weigh 1,000 pounds. Runs pretty well. Not FTD, but top 10.

It would be interesting to make back-to-back runs with a full-bodied
car to get a sense of the effect that the fore-shortening has on the
polar moment of inertia.
