Default 255 vs 265 R888

As much as I hate the R888, I have to go back to it for cost reason (I didnt get bailout). I am thinking about going to 265/35/18 instead of 255/35/18. I didnt like the 255 as it rode too low, resulting in a lot of rubbing on the front air dam. The only drawback I see is that the 265 is a little too wide for my 8.5" rim. What do you guys think?

Can't, no matching tires for the rear (need 19")

295 on 8.5" is fine if you are autoxing, you can't do that when you are running at the track.
