Any opinions on AP Racings Big Brake Kit?
I have an opportunity to purchase a 6 piston front kit at a decent price compared to new. The only problem is I can't find any info on them from happy/pissed owners. So I am turning to you. These are the 14" version. My car is mostly a track car, rarely street driven.
Thanks
Thanks

Finlayson at AFX performance, and I have raced 9 years. It is BY FAR
THE BEST brakes I have ever had on anything. you can get several
pad choices, but I really like the Cobalt friction. In regional racing I
can out brake GT1 cars.

I have the same fronts offered by randy and am VERY pleased. I had to get randy's bigger reservoir with adjustable bias and once it's dialed in it just plain STOPS. I also switched the factory fronts to the rear, had to eliminate the parking brake but it's primarily a track car so no big deal.
one thing I noticed is I had to re-learn threshhold braking--heel-toe is not as necessary in my car now.
my car is a '97 coupe btw.

This is a picture of one of our kits. The hat and rotor should look like this one. This caliper is red but 99 percent of the kit we have sold have been black. We have had great luck with our kit, we started building them in 1998. AP just started building kits in the past year or two. If you have any pictures, I can tell a mile away whos kit it is.

With the dollar so strong right now You would be in a front kit for about 3500 dollars. Which includes track and street pads, lines, calipers, lines, and a few other little goodies. The full kit is right around 7000 bucks that includes our master and other goodies. Yes they clear stock C6 Z wheels!!!

Based on the universal support, these brakes sound like something to look forward to. Thanks for the feedback.
Randy, The rotors do look like the ones in your picture.
Thanks all.
