Track Time for Cars Good Way to Start Season
It was a bit cold in the morning, but the sun was shining for 2 days in South Jersey with TT4Cars.
Both days I had plenty of fun. Matt (95Jersey) stopped by Saturday afternoon so we have a few fun sessions running around the track. Roger (RogueWave) decided to get in on the fun in the afternoon too which made for another fun session.
On Sunday Frank G. came over and I asked him for some advice in different areas. He gave me some very helpful suggestions and then next session I got to follow him around and what a nice difference. I was on the gas earlier carrying more speed into the straights which is always nice.
Sunday also had more Vettes showing up adding more fun to the day.
We had plenty of track time for the start of the year. Both days were 6 sessions. 5x20mins and 1x25 min session. There was plenty of free space to run as hard as you wanted and for the most you got point bys early enough not to stop momentum.
It was good to see everyone since the winter break.

Definitely a lot of fun. They sure know how to keep it efficient!
I was beat after the day!
Did anyone else get to taste a little GT-R over the weekend?

The white bmw that did the 360 down the front straight was entertaining to watch from a distance.

A bit cold, eh Bob? My car had 1/4" of ice on it in the morning. My buddy took pictures that I will post later. Tell the truth, it was cold enough to freeze the ***** of a monkey.
But after a couple of laps the Hoosiers came in and it was nirvana after the long winter.
Glad I could offer some pointers. I hope your buddy recovered from the session in my car.
It would have been cruel and unusual punishment to beat on the GT-R. No matter what the ricers might believe (and BS about), it's no match for a Z06. It would have been embarrassing for the GT-R driver to have had his nuts handed to him on a discarded brake pad. It is not sportsmanlike to do something like that... but then again, it sure is fun. Personally, I pick on Porsches.
See you at the track.

It was great to run with you guys Sat. and Sun.. Great group of people.
Very organized run schedule. Frank gives the best joy ride around. Thanks again for the hospitality Frank. I picked up a lot of pointers that immediately improved my line. If anyone gets the chance don't pass up on an offer by Frank to show you around a track.
See you guys again soon.

I sucked as much info as I could get so if Frank is not around I can pass off what knowledge I retained. A few key areas is what it takes to really decrease your lap times.

Awesome day!!! Weather was cold in the AM, but the afternoon turned out great! TT4Cars always does a great job. Many thanks to Michele for letting me run in the afternoon. It was great to wipe off the cobwebs and break out the Z.
There were some pretty cools cars present. Somone had a brand new Ferrari 599...talk about gorgeous. That think was just amazing in every way. I give hats off to the guy that had the b@lls to take a $200k car on a road course with other cars.
Also, Bob was running awesome!!! Both car and driver were handling that road course to perfection. Hats off to a darn good driver, combined with that new 427 and those Penske's, which all proved to be a formitable foe. It's been a long time since I had to raise my hand outside the window, but that was one point bye Bob earned 100%. Awesome driving Bob! If you can't catch him in the corners...you ain't gonna catch him on the straits.

I was the other Phoenix car. This was my first track event at Lightning and Thunderbolt. I could never have gotten up to speed so quickly without Frank showing me the fastest lines around both tracks.
Thanks again for the help Frank.

That must have been Frank talking... He was the only car to pass me in two days. And I have no hesitation giving a point-by if someone is on my tail. Frank and I swap the lead a lot to show each other things.
