Subject: [IceBoating] Wind Land Speed Record Broken Yesterday 126.1 MPH On Ivanpah Dry Lake Bed
Just got word that the long standing record for land sailing craft was broken by Richard Jenkins' Ecotricity Greenbird on Ivanpah Dry Lake bed in Primm, NV. Congratulations to Richard and his crew!
I was out at Ivanpah a few years ago and got to watch Bob Schumacher and Dill attempt to break their own previous record of 116 mph. That was some site.
Details at http://www.greenbird.co.uk/ and http://blog.greenbird.co.uk/
Bob and Bob can the Iron Duck go 150?
