Default 110 race gas in Chicago area

Getting into GT1 (decided against T1 after all) this year and got my 1st quote for a 55 gallon drum of 110 race gas. $450 a drum. Anyone know of any cheaper places around here? Wisconsin is ok too, the shop is Spring Grove, IL, which is 15 minutes south of Lake Geneva.

Thanks!

Will post in Great Lakes section as well...

"a great price"...how is $8.00 a gallon cheaper than $5.50?

do an internet search for Rockett brand racing fuel, it`s the old Union 76 racing gas people, you can get it at the Tri-Par gas station on your way up to Road America in Random lake or at a station in Muskego, Waldo oil also has race gas on your way to R/A in Waldo but call first.

Got another quote for $332 per drum... That's $6.14 a gallon (they only get 54 gallons in there)... Is it cheaper at the pumps?

Fuel will net be cheaper at the Pumps. At the track fuel is $8.00. I have not checked the price yet this year. But last year it was around $300 a barrel. I buy at Smith Oil in Rockford IL.

If you are running SCCA make sure your fuel is legal. Sunoco 110 leaded should be and it comes up at national races more than at regional races.

I buy 55 gallon drums of 110 leaded from Feece Oil in Batavia, 630-879-1911. Last one I bought was $364, that was August last year.
