Springs vs. Monoleaf
Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked before but I just noticed that Eibach offers coil springs that can be used with the stock shocks. Are the coils better than the stock composite monoleaf design? Im trying to upgrade my suspension for some hpde but Im working with a budget. Please help! Thnx.

try searching for 'coilover', you'll get more info than you'll need (or want).
short answer: i wouldn't bother. the shocks are more important than the springs so keeping the stock shocks (which aren't that great) seems backwards. i'm not even sure how they would work -- the stock shocks won't have a spring perch.
just my 0.02, i've been proven wrong before!

Thats why I was confused but it says its a kit. Anyway it seemed too cheap price wise. Just a little confused. Im gonna pick up some C6 Z06 shocks anyway but I was curious about these springs. BTW, the search engine sucks lately, didnt find anything. Anyone know about these springs or have them?

You can help your suspension for almost free. The OE sway bar bushings are so tight that they restrict the motion to the point that you cannot move it with all your strength. Just shim the steel bracket with a flat washer between the frame and the steel bracket and grease it so that the sway bar can rotate with minimum force.

I was just gonna post the link when in small print I read "kit consists of height adjustment bolts and urethane pads". Yet, theyre advertised as a spring kit with pix of coils, plus when you read the info it talks about how the "springs" will lower the car by 2in., at least all the ebay posts were saying the same till the little side note on the bottom, easy to miss.

The ebay picture is a total lie, the description on the Eibach site seems accurate:
It's probably no better than trimming the stock adjusters, or getting any of the other adjusters available like the HardbarUSA offering.
Kit consists of height adjustment bolts and urethane pads (not a spring kit).
