Yes... that place will be having another Autocross this weekend there.

We have loaner helmets there for new people as well. If you make sure you tell them you're new, they will give you a novice walk thru of the course and also you can ask anyone there to ride with you to give you pointers or ride with them to get an idea what to do.

The NHSCC is a good bunch of guys/gals, and are always eager to help new people.

Conemarks come right out of the paint... I know all too well.

And our local SCCA region starts up @ the end of May as well.

NASA Mid Atlantic http://www.nasaracing.net/

NASA - NE http://www.nasanortheast.com/

Being in Philly NASA MA has many events at Summit Point race track ( Near Charlestown WV) So not that far away.

This coming up weekend, NASA MA has an event at Summit Point. Might be a good idea to head down to watch. Registration is fillled.

Now when you say "RACE" do you mean Wheel 2 Wheel like we see on TV ? or dong track days / events.

True Racing takes lots of car preparation.

With that in mind is why L98Terror and I recomend NASA. Has both and you can see were you want to go and do

Yeah, if you're looking for track days, we run @ Beaverun out of the turnpike, but if you were at an event this past weekend, that would've been our other club ( Non SCCA ) running an autocross @ north park.

Western PA I think has some NASA events for track days, as well as the SCCA.

Given your interest in AutoCross, I'd venture that you'll find kindred spirits in SCCA Solo - Steel Cities Region, SCCA.
Also, you might consider the Evolution Performance Driving School - Autocross Driving School ... there's one coming to BeaveRun May 30-31 (level 1 & 2) ... that will get you zoned in on AutoX ...

And 2 VERY good Z06 heads will be teaching both Phase 1 & 2...

Mike Johnson ( Jr ) and Sam Strano... they are great instructors.
