Default What durometer do you use?

I'm thinking of getting one so I can sort out my growing tire pile more scientifically.

Some crazy high prices in the hundreds of dollars for certified ones.

Which do you use? Where did you get it? How much? Useful or don't bother?

We carry this:

With these 2 tools, you can really get a great setup. You use the durometer to evaluate not only how good your tires after a few heat cycles, but you will find that the consistently harder area is seeing more heat. Adjust the setup until the wear and durometer readings are closer to equal.
