My car got rearended by an SUV this morning!
Sitting at a stoplight.
All of a sudden WHAM!
His excuse "Sorry I was READING something"
WTF!
Then he asks if I can get an estimate and have him pay it outright so he can leave it off his insurance!
Screw that!
F'ing dumb@a$$!
He hit me hard enough to knock his front plate off, break one of my backup lights and split the bumper cover at the joint.
Hopefully the aluminum frame is OK.

Damn! I didn't even know SUV's could drive!
Maybe headline should have read, "My car got rearended by a dumbass reading a paper!"
Make him pay for being so careless.

I had a BMW drive under the rear bumper of my car. He was busy reading the report he had a meeting about. I was stopped and he must of hit me doing 30 mph in a 35 zone. I can't understand the reading going down the road. Good luck getting things taken care of.

Yet another reason to limit your driving to the track - it is safer. Hope you are alright and that the car can be brought back to it's pre-impact condition.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you are ok. Your neck is probably going to be sore tomorrow. Hopefully the Vette can be repaired easily.

How about these morons that TEXT while driving on the freeway at 75mph.
I'm with the guy who suggested that a 12" knife be attached to the steering wheel with pointy part aimed at the driver for anyone caught driving drunk, driving while reading, or texting while driving.
One way or the other, it would stop the problem.

"sorry I was reading"
What the hell... It really pisses me off when I see people driving down the highway at 65+ MPH with a book/newpaper on the steering wheel. I hope the cop wrote him a ticket for that!!!!
Sponge that dude for everything possible....dont forget to add "Emotional damages" for the damage to your family member SiFore ..and how much it'll will effect your daily life.
Good luck bro

Cracked lens doesn't show up on the cellphone camera pic, but you can see how the cover is split.
Hit hard enough to bend the license plate

I second this thought.
If you have not already done so, ensure that the other driver is
ticketed for careless driving.
To stop that individual, and perhaps others, make such behavior
as costly as possible in as many ways as possible. Eventually
he/they will either wise up or be unable to afford to drive.
I have not heard whether this driver's employer communicates
with drivers via text or if the driver was engaged in personal
communications. Either way, a moment of inattention spoiled
the day for several people ...

Sorry to hear about the damage. I was going to say look at the bright side, no hurry to get that motor done now.
I hope everything works out.

So they make a special law for cell phones but fail to make a law about reading, putting makeup on, having your dog in your lap, smoking eating and drinking at the same time, blah blah blah..
Stupid government making laws to satisfy the masses but doing nothing to correct the real problem.

Notice how slowly the guy gets out of the bus to check the driver he just hit. Just casually walks up. That was an EXTREMELY hard hit. I would be running to see if the driver I hit was OK or not.
It was obvious after the hit, he was only concerned about the inconvienence he caused himself. POS

I took it by theBowTieShop.com on my way home from work.
It's the restoration shop that's owned by one of my club's members, and where my tuner works.
Looks like I'll be having a little more work done while it's there.
What really bites is that insurance companies pay out at different rates.
Just paying what a cheapo place asks.
