I thought you weren't supposed to run reproduction wheels at the track? Sounds like a nice setup though.

I've been running Sport Edition repros for two years in stock sizes without problems. And, they are powdercoated to boot! I'm going to stick with them because I just purchased another car that will probably get track time also, and no need for two sets on the C6 if I'm not going to be tracking it as much.

Will those fit on an otherwise stock car or do you have to tub?

they will fit a stock bodied Z06 or a widebody C6 with Z06 fenders, but nothing else.

Also, they now are mounted and balanced (although balance is not perfect), and have 2 days at VIR on them.

Hey Mike. I got the same tires and am waiting on my widebody to finish.

As you know These are not exactly the right ratio front to back as the OEM sizes..
Did you have any DIC messages on this, and if so do you turn off TC Comp etc.

yes, there are issues if you leave everything on. On the track, I run in comp mode and there are no issues. Driving home from the track I discovered that at 83mph, this combo made the car give me a dic message of 'traction control active' and the car wouldn;t accelerate. Turning traction control off solved the problem though. I rarely go that fast, as I never experienced it on the 6 hour drive up, and only when passing a line of slow cars a couple times did I see it and then figure out the solution.

Good to know, I thought maybe the computer would be more intrusive. I got the tires for the track and a little street driving. so as long as you keep it under 83 the cars computer does what its designed to do.
