Default **F/S GM Motorsports Race Transmissions for Corvettes**

I have two GM Motorsports transmissions left. These boxes have specific ratios only built for GM Motorsports.

These are not available any longer.

Originally designed around World Challenge racing they were built only for a limited time and available only to race teams. They have HD bearings, syncro's, larger shafts.

We have gone through both of these, including complete REM treatment. Full race prep includes inspection and/or replacement of all gears, sliders, and shafts. There is very little drive train loss with this transmission and RPM drops are shown below, which makes this a super close ratio gearbox.

Again, keep in mind these are no longer available from GM. When they are gone they are gone!!!

Ratio's are:
1st: 2.29 (2078 RPM Drop between 1st and 2nd)
2nd: 1.61 (1695 RPM Drop between 2nd and 3rd)
3rd: 1.22 (1262 RPM Drop between 3rd and 4th)
4th: 1.00 (1050 RPM Drop between 4th and 5th)
5th: 0.85
6th: N/A

The transmission was worth close to 1.5 seconds off our lap times at Mid-Ohio.

Call today, $4500 + shipping

MID-OHIO. Pole position, lead every lap, won the race with this transmission

Are parts still available for these in case someone would buy one and break one, or damage a synchro ????

Yes you can still get parts for them, GM just does not sell complete transmissions.

Are there other sources ( tremec ). I work for a GM dealer and anytime I can buy something the same without all of the GM red-tape (and cost) I do. GM doesn't build those pieces anyway.......

If they are still serviceable these would be a nice to have for sure.

Let me know, I can put a service kit together, and send that with the tranny if you would like some spare parts to go along with them. They are a strong unit out of the box and with the upgrades that we have done, they really do not take much over the season. Good fluid, keep them cool and be nice to them and they will last for years and years to come!

RPM can Rebuild them Danny. They use a unique synchro assembly that is out of another T56 application which is better for fast shifts, but not for every day driving buttery smooth operation like the Vettes triple cone.

Just buy it! Quit beating around the bush! The only thing better is a Sequential Ask me how I know

here's what we should do, i'm pretty sure this is a new mandate by kommander obama.

since Danny is infinitely faster than I am, he should be charged 6500 for the transmission, and you guys can charge me 2500. Spread the wealth, or in this case speed!

That transmission isn't going to help your clutch pedal being on the floor.......
