C5 inner tie rods anyone here replace one??
I have a C5 with a bent inner tie rod and I just wanted to check in here to see if anyone has any tricks or tips on replacing one. Also is there a better unit than the stock Delco (Spicer/Moog etc.) that I should look for. Prices are kind of all over the board from $12 all the way to $60 for Delco.
Thanks in advance.

Inner tie rod for the front or rear?
I've done'm all!
fronts I just use a pipe wrench to get that sucker on/off, because I didn't have the special GM tool, nor was I going to buy one. The hardest part was getting the stock metal boot retaining clip off. I replaced those with hose clamps. I bought mine from gmpartshouse, but i really don't see how one off of rockauto would be very different.
The rears are really easy, just a long extension and a U joint will do the trick.

Sorry I should have said front, I would think most of us would have a handle on the rears - remove nut - right got it.
No the front looks a little more tricky.

Pull the boot and turn the wheel so you have access to which ever side you need to replace. There are two flats machined for a wrench on the part. They are torqued on WAY tight and have locktite on them. The worm gear will hold the rack from rotating. I've never heard of a better stock replacements, but I do know of custom clevis' on race cars to correct bump steer. I have a used stock one available if you don't want to buy new.
