Hope to see ya there. I'm running a '93 coupe covered with PFC Z dust. Former owner told me it was 40th anniv ruby color, can't recall. No pics. I enjoy this annual pilgrimage.....it makes me feel good to meet rare, genuine Corvette driving enthusiasts.

Sports car concours makes me want to :U

Sure. This Pocono Cumberland Valley Corvette Club event is held once a year. It is the ONLY two day Corvette-sponsored Road Race Track Driver's Educational event I know of in the northeast USA. If you're looking for Porsche or BMW events of this caliber there are probably close to 100 per year, several per weekend. The bad news is this CVCC two day event in mid May already sold out a month ago and was clearly advertized here around Christmas. The good news is there is a one day Corvette event on Memorial day at Pocono that hasn't been posted yet, so keep your eyes wide open.

You guys should check out EMRA events as well: http://www.emraracing.org/

COMSCC ( http://www.ultranet.com/~comscc/index.shtml )
will honor an EMRA license for the time trial events and vice versa.

I was signed up but then cancelled due to engine problems. Sorry guys - my spot was already taken. As far as I know - there is a waiting list if you want to sign up. Cost to register was $250.00 for the two day event and it filled up very quickly. Members of my club may make a trip up just to help out if anyone wants to join us - you can never have to many corner workers. The host club is CVCC and their website can be found at: http://www.cvcc-vette.com. Sorry for the bad news......

I signed up months ago. I registered early because I almost missed getting in last year (about 2 months prior to the deadline).

John Shiels.. I remember your car. It never clicked before seeing your signature, but now I remember the black wheels on the navy car. Fast ride!

John, you ready for 150mph + at the VCA Pocono event ?

I think we can take down some snakes in the turns... I'm a little weak on power in the straight, though...

Eric I'll be putting up a sail to stay with those guys down the straights. No substitution for cubes as they say. I just hope the infield gives me a respectable showing. Now if I had a 427  It will be interesting to say they least. In the top group there are no point byes. It's just go for it. The first session I want to start down in the groups as to relieive my winter rush. I think I could get in trouble the first time out after sitting all this time. I can't wait. I'l have a bit more zip than last year with HC package and brake ducts. See you there for tons of run time.

John - I'm signed up for 4/8 - maybe you could show me the short way around the track? One small warning though, if you drive a 427, you'll definitely want one :)

I'm not replying for John.. but from what I remember the open cockpit car was holding everyone back in that group! I'm pretty sure that on the very left side of that picture that it's the nose of my car starting to poke in!

See you guys there again this year!

Yea, it sort of reminds me of this:

All kidding aside, day 2 was "smooth sailing" after a few folks were moved into appropriate classes.

Pulling the train he was... (check the above link)

I had a good shot of the red C4 that came in after gravity got the better of it and managed to pull the roof line into the grass. Not to make light of the guy's misfortune.. but I was standing right where the flat bed wanted to park for a moment. I snapped a digital photo then the computer crashed a month later.. no backup, no photo. Which group is everyone running in?
