Default FS: Performance Box

I am selling a Performance Box that was bought last summer and used at the track twice. It is in excellent condition and includes all original packaging and software. It is a great tool for lowering your lap times and is really easy to use. Just plug into cigarette lighter, stick on windshield and then download to your PC.

Here is a link for more info: http://www.performancebox.co.uk/

Price is $400 shipped in US.

Thanks,
Bob

Default bump

Bump for a fellow racer.

This is a great lap timer and data logger, especially for this price. I have one and I love it.

$400 is a 20% discount from the brand-new price.

For those that use this:
Have you had any issues at the track using the suction cups?
I was at an event last week where they did not allow anything "suction cupped" in the car or on the outside of the car. anything and everything had to be bolted and tethered, including gopro's!

TIA

The suction cups that come with the PBox seem to hold it on the window very well, but I have had a club tell me I can't have anything mounted up there. Some also don't allow any sort of lap timers. To get around this, you can purchase a remote GPS sensor and attach it to the outside of the car (its magnetic, but that obviously doesn't help with a Corvette) while hiding the PBox itself in the glove box (or a similar location).

I assume thats a GPS antenna that you can add.
Wonder if any GPS antenna works.

Not worried about the "no lap timers" lots of folks are using traqmate, etc to capture data and review it afterwards.

The suction cups held good. Here is a video of a Z06 at the Glen using one. He sent me his data file and I was able to compare it to mine using the software. For those of you that don't know the Glen, the laps he is turning are really fast. I think they are 1.2+ Gs as well.

I think it is a standard GPS antenna that can be used if you want to put out of sight.

It is a great timer/recorder at a discount

When I was using my Performance Box with my C5 convertible, I put it inside the console box (the one under your left elbow) without an external GPS antenna, and it worked just fine there.

In my C6 coupe, I used the suction-cup-mount on the windshield, and it was very secure there. In fact, when I wanted to remove it, I had to pull the P Box out of the mount and lift the edge of the three suction cups to get it off the windshield. It definitely was not going to fall off the windshield.

I haven't tried it inside the console of my C6 coupe yet, but I'm pretty sure it would work in there.
