Loking for C4 wing and splitter

Dave,
Start with Robert Finlayson at Performance AFX (www.performanceafx.com). He has some of the only race proven aero body parts for the C4.
I do not believe Robert has a wing, but my son has one on his C4 and I will find out who made it. Think it was APR.
I have researched front splitters and rear airfoils (not wings) for the C4. Robert at Performance AFX has a splitter, but it is designed for the aero nose he also sells. Do not believe it fits a stock C4 front end. Could not find a splitter anywhere for the stock front bumper, so I designed and fabricated one. A picture of the first one is attached, which also shows the air dam. Have improved it so the bolts fastening the layers do not show and it is deeper. Unfortunately it looks like something made in someone’s garage, because that is what it is. However, it works! Tested at VIR and raced with it at Mid-Ohio.
Also designed and fabricated a rear air foil because I do not want a wing. Do not have one without the other, as it really changes the balance between the front and rear.

That is a great splitter! Home built areo parts are really cool, and I'd love to do one like it. In my opinion, areo separates fast cars from really fast cars. What is the splitter made out of?

Ed, I was the guy with Rudy last weekend at Mid-Ohio I should have looked at your car closer but I know some people are a little touchy about people they don't know snooping around there race car. If you don't mind next time I see you at an event I'll take a closer look.

Chad,
Thank you. It was a lot of work. Not sure if that is a result of my skills, learning as I went, some complexity in the project, or all of the above. Aero does make a difference. I could tell the first time I took it on track at VIR. Now to race there with it an see if I can measure the difference. I did make some significant improvement in my best lap time at Mid-Ohio last weekend, but a couple of other factors were also involved. The splitter in the picture is the first version and layered: bottom is plywood, then two layers of PVC sheet. Had to use bolts to fasten it because I could not find a bonding agent for the PVC. The plywood has a couple of coats of fiberglass resin, no glass, to seal from water. The new version has an additional layer of black ABS plastic on top. The original splitter provided the support for the ABS, which extends out further for more down force. Original splitter and new ABS top are drawn tightly together in the mounting method, so no screws/bolts show and disrupt the airflow.

Dave,
Wish I had known you were interested in aero, I could have shown the details and how it is mounted. The new version was on the car last weekend. Would love to show you the aero anytime we are together again. Would take pictures of new version, but car is at shop being prepped for the NASA race July 25-26 at VIR. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a few pictures of the original construction process, but nothing really great. Car is in shop now being serviced for the next race July 25-26 at VIR. Should get it back the first of the week and I will try to take some pictures of the current version while getting ready to go to the track.
