Default VIR Full Course Oct 17 & 18 With the Cobra Mustang guys

The SVT Cobra Mustang Club is having their Super Stang Fest at VIR the weekend of October 17 & 18. Included in this is a 2 day HPDE on the full course and it is open to all makes and enthusiest.

Many of us have run with the Cobra Mustang Guys before and can attest to fine job that Tony and his club do to put on a great event. They really like to see the Vettes come out to their events and join them on track for some good times. None of this Ford against Chevy antagonism here.....it's all good. I have run with these guys for many years and the 2 things that keep bringing me back are they really are a great bunch of guys and they give you tons of track time.

Several things about this event are apealing. First....it's on a weekend and it's at VIR. Second.....The date in October put it square between the heat of summer and the cold of winter.

Here are the specifics:

Do they allow open passing in the advanced group? Also, how long are the run sessions? Always looking for an excuse to get back to VIR.

Instructor/Advanced is open passing WITH a point

Sessions length will depend on turn out. 20 to 30 minutes.

They have allowed open passing with a point by for the advanced group in the past and I don't expect them to change that. Runs are 25-30 mins and as the crowd dwindles Sunday afternoon they revert to open track with a few DE sessions sprinkled in. I have never been remotely disappointed in the amount of track time I've gotten. In fact I usually have to skip some runtime on Sunday just to give myself and the car a rest.

I apologize for any inconvience but the SCMC is having to change internet service providers. The site should be back up soon.

OK so the club has the new internet service providor but it turns out they only accept a newer version of the database software that powers our store. Now we are having to reload everything.

There are still plenty of spots open but we are seeing a lot of mail in registrations. Don't wait for the store go ahead and do the snail mail thiung!

just make sure he has his wallet before he eats dinner with you.

Good to see you - trip was good for business and bad for enjoyment...

Does anybody have a schedule for this event? What time does everything start on Saturday. I'm driving up from Fayetteville and need to know what time to roll out of bed! Any type of tech required, etc, etc, etc?

I realize it's still early, but I'm just trying to knock out as much of this admin stuff while I have time.

Has anyone been able to register online yet? Also, does anyone know how many they allow in advanced group?
