Default Rims 2008 Z06

I want to get a different set of rims for the track. Am I ok with running 18's front and rear or maybe even 17's? Reason I am asking is just the cost of tires. I am a newb to roadracing, so just want to do it correctly.

18 Inch wheels are the hot setup for any Corvette. You have a huge selection of tires, unlike the 19 inchers. We are a Fikse dealer and have had many of hard miles on them without trouble. Here is a video of some of their options.

Please let me know if you have any questions

FWIW, 17in wheels won't clear C6Z brakes.

Good to know on the 17's. If I run18's on the back, will I ruin anything? What tire size do you recomend?

Maybe I shouldn't be so quick on the 17s. I don't *think* they'll clear the brakes. :-)

18in on the back will by fine, that's what I have on my C6 Z51 and they're great. Love the CCWs. Couldn't go wrong with the Fikses, either.

18's all around. Fikse, CCW, Forgeline - anyone of those make good wheels with Z06 offsets.

If you stay with stock rims you can run Hoosiers R6's or Pilot Sport Cups.

Right now you are going to have the largest selection of tires in the 18" diameter as that is what most of the GrandAm, ALMS, and SCCA are using so not only will have you access to new tires, but also take off tires.

As far as wheels....ForgeLine has been building us wheels for years now, and they have been one of the best on the market.
