Default Putting a 5 point in a C4

I want to have a harness track days and keep the 3 point for street driving. I went to install the harness the other day and noticed the bracket for the inner (closest to the tunnel) harness strap doesnt clear the shoulder on the bolt for the factory harness. How did other C4 owners get around this? Is it ok to just put the aftermarket one on and tighten it between the car and the shoulder? Should I find another bolt or just enlarge the hole on the harness mount?

Also, is there a proper way to mount the sub belt?

I use a 6pt.

You just run the subbelts back to the bolts the lapbelts use.

Did you re-use the factory lap belts? how did you get them on the shoulder of the factory belt?

I didn't use a kit at all and just used new bolts for the side lap belts. The sub belt I attached to the frame adapter bracket for the seat. I put both the stock and harness belts in so I could switch to either.

Before I got a dedicated track car, I had a Brey-Krause Harness Bar and the BK Sub Belt anchor that mounted under the front portion of the seat rails. I used different bolts than stock, but I did use 10.9 graded hardware. I also used a Cobra seat with Hardbar rails. You definitely don't want your belts wrapping around the headrest on the stock seat.
