Default tire rack for hoosiers?

Does tire rack have the best prices on Hoosier R6 or Kumho V710? Who has the best price?

I bought a set of A6's from HAVOC Motorsports They are a Forum Vendor located in Wilmington IL and were great to deal with. I got free shipping and they threw in a free tee shirt!

I ordered my tires over the phone from Lee and the tires were shipped directly from Hoosier. The date codes showed all 4 tires to be a month old! IIRC, I saved about $80 over TR pricing.

Is Havoc still selling Hoosiers? I had trouble using the tire section of their website.

They still advertise Hoosier on their main page. If you go down to the R6/A6 price list button it doesn't seem to work. But under the pic of the guy in the helmet, there is a link to "Race Tire Store", and on that page you get the tire selection and prices.

You might try and call them and ask for Lee.

Just an observation, but I just took possession of my next new set of Hoosiers from a non Tire Rack dealer and I got some rears made in the 34th week of 2008.

I think I'm going back to Tire Rack. They move enough product that they don't sit on tires very long.

Phil moves tons of tires to many racers and sell them and mounts them at the track events and races. Very fair even cheap mounting at the track.

I purchased some from them earlier this year and they called a couple of weeks ago to see if I needed anymore.

There is nothing wrong with tire made in 2008 .

Only Havoc Motorsport have fresh tires on daily basis :-)

What's the concensus on Tire Rack's heat cycling service? Does it actually improve tire grip or life?

It looks like the price for Hoosiers is the same at Tire Rack and Phil's so I'm wondering if the heat cycling service would tilt me towards Tire Rack.
