Right about where I fight the urge to make the 3-4 shift. Constantly passing people there.
---
Just watched again. Spin is one corner past the dog-leg which is the 3-4 shift. Camera angle tricked me. :-)

Had a similar experience on T-Hill (turn 6), found a broken brake pad in me right rear caliper afterwards which I think helped me go off. Have You checked the brakes ?

I took the car to an alignment shop earlier in the year because I was tearing up the insides of my front tires excessively. They put an alignment on the car to protect tires in spite of the affect on performance (per my request). At the time, I had no idea of the impact to performance driving - or even enthusiastic street driving. It was remarkable that suspension angles can turn a corvette into a camry.- with power.
So, I took a look at the tires after I took them off the car and they were scuffed to the top of the triangles on the sidewall - and nothing anywhere near the shoulders on the inside. NOTHING. The car is likely only running on the outer half of the tires.
I've seen many cars/vettes take that corner well over 90. I was going between 85 and 90. Far from making that 3-4 shift. I think it's the alignment.
Car is a regular coupe w/Z51 and new Bilstein Sports. Suspension is tight.
I need to change that alignment. Problem is - I drive this car 125 miles a day. (132,000 on the clock)
BTW: What a great video. Your car is sooooooooooo fast. You're going at an average rate of at least 20 mph faster than me the whole time! Please tell me that's not stock!

Here's the deal. I hate to say it, it's NOT the tires, it's driver's error by creating a loss of BALANCE in the car. Racing is all about shifting the weight to the end of the car that needs it. When you are on the throttle, ESPECIALLY in a turn, you are transferring weight to the REAR of the car. If you suddenly lift mid-turn, you transfer that weight (aka GRIP) away from the rear tires and you do exactly what happened in the video.
Same thing goes for the front. You brake to send weight to the front, thus allowing the car to turn better.
We lift mid-turn all the time to get our car to rotate.

Get the alignment fixed up, you should be able to make that left to the uphill (T8) at 85-90 on the stock tires. I'm heading out Friday to see what my fresh(ish) R888s feel like along with the corner weight and fresh alignment and DRM coilovers. All of which are significant changes since my last Thunderhill day. 3-4 upshift for my C6 Z51 is always right around T7, T8 is always a gut check in 4th gear... I'll hopefully have data this time to back up the speeds. :-)

The brakes are fine. Just switched back to ceramics for the street. This isn't a track specific car and I've only done this 4 times.
