Corvette Challenge Series
This is very interesting
I've know very little about this until I came across this excellent website today. I have updated my website with all the proper information and added links to the website I mentioned.

that is a big part of what got me into racing...........some of those cars went on to run World Challenge, many just vanished. I wish GM would do spec race cars again, even if not for pro racing, I think there is a demand for turn-key track cars.
btw, anybody know who actually built the cars??? Did GM do the cages etc, or were they outsourced??

I would have really liked to watch those. Anyone have video?

I have videos that are being converted to DVD's, I think it will be about 2 months before they are finished. I am finishing up the Corvette Challenge Emblems for sale and then I can concentrate on the videos, check back with me in a little bit to see how far along I am.

Corvette Challenge Fuel System?
I've asked a few people who were involved in the series and never gotten an answer to "how did those C-4s deal with the half tank fuel starve problem I've seen on most C-4s?"
Did they run fuel cells, a small holding tank, a special trap door pickup, have short races and start on full?

I will ask John Powell that the next time I talk to him, about 1 a month, and see what the answer is.

Mine doesn't fuel cut out till it's down to one or two bars, never ever at a half a tank. I've been thinking of putting in some fuel cell foam to prevent slosh though.

John and specifically Devon Powell are the guys that have built my car and the ONLY people I trust to continue to touch it. They work on most of the CorvetteForum Canadian sections cars, they really know their stuff. When Lou G came up to visit us in Canada, it was interesting to hear the stories about him, John P and the Challenge days.
John Powell or Lou G can tell you a million stories and answer almost any question about the Challenge days, John is also a member on here, I'll point him over to this thread. We were all just at Watkins Glen together a week or so ago.

hey if it's VHS send it my way and I'll convert it ASAP. I caught a few of them on TV back then. I think I have a few 93-94 World Challenge races on tape (my early races), but not of the Corvette Challenge.
