Default Fast Corvette race car for sale... REALLY FAST

LINK TO AD

Here's video of the car at Road Atlanta where it holds the current TRANS-AM track record at 1:22.650. I don't remember what the C6R's run there, but I thought it was in the high teens.

Ran a 1:50 flat at VIR in July taking 2nd behind the Riley in the UTCC. That's moving along pretty well!

Priced about the same as a front-running T1 Corvette right now.

Seller is a trusted friend of mine and the car is beautiful.

Man, just watched the video again for about the 5th time. Great driving! You seem to go much deeper into the corners than the other guys.

Glad y'all liked the video - I did too - but it's not me driving. It's Mike Skeen, many of the NASA SE guys know him. He did a great job stepping up into Trans-Am this year and being really competitive with that car.

Johnny, sending you a PM.

Damn good video and even more impressive driving. I literally was cheering for him to get around one of the cars. Thanks for posting and good luck with the sale.

I saw that car run at the UTCC at VIR. The only thing faster was the Riley Track Day Car. This car is phenomenal!!! I truly enjoyed watching it run. My question is why are they selling such a well sorted car?

GT1 fields are typically bigger than the T1 fields Dave, and you'd have a professional series you could run - no reason not to take the plunge! You would still be in the same run groups as all your T1 buddies, so you can wave as you lap them.

Bob, it's not my place to speak for the seller, but I will say that the plan is not to get out of racing by any means. Just time for something a little different.

Here's another video - this time at VIR. I believe they ran a 1:48 there during this race weekend, not too shabby.

Well, if taracer64 buys this car, bar the door....hide your women and children...buckle up tight....Trans-Am will be a helluva lot more interesting!

Throw a big *** Green Smiley Guy on that nose and get 'er dun Johnny Lightening Miller!

I have some unfinished business to take care over the next three weeks, then I will focus on 2010 (and later). The Trans Am series certainly makes GT1 more attractive. Trust me, I am keeping an eye on this.
