that's the rumor. Badoer is out and Fisi is in at the next race. Don't know what that'll mean long term if it's true. My guess is Alanzo and Massa in red next year, but if they go to a 3 car team, that would be a good spot for Fisi. If the rumor is true, I'm guess that he knows something that we don't because it doesn't seem smart to walk away from a full time drive to fill in for 2-3 races and then be left w/o a ride?????

Fisichella has stated in the past that he would walk away from any drive for the chance to drive for Ferrari. It was being reported as a "wild rumor" at the start of the qual program but by the end of Q3 it was being talked about as a credible report.

It is also being reported that Ferrari will run a 3rd car for Schumacher in 2010

Wouldn't Ferrari have to buy him out?

Yeah it was. I was really impressed with Fisi's drive. Didn't put a wheel wrong that I saw. Without KERS and the safety car Kimi would never have gotten by and Force India would've had the win.

looks like toyota is about done in F-1 Williams is not using them next year which may mean the decision is made. Fisi ran great and I still don't know if he has his Ferrari ride at Monza somethings seem to say yes and others know.

The KERS seemed to put Kimi at a significant advantage, just look at the early laps where Kimi just drove away from the field. But something happened (did he back off because he didn't need to push as much?) and fairly early into the race Fisi not only was keeping up but caught up!

The KERS must be most significant early on when tires are cold, because I would have thought with that performance Kimi would have qualified much, much better. In fact he was so far back that he really only got a nice run up on Fisi because of Barrichello's stall at the line! I think that's the 3rd one for Rubens this year? ouch.

Raikonnen was the favorite going into the weekend, so the only surprise there was his relatively poor qualifying.

A bit of overstating the case there. Ferrari would like to use Schumacher for as much publicity as they can get. It is too late to change the rules for 2010 for 3 car teams.
