Default rubber boot for the tie rod?

mine is fried (rear), asked at local parts store they can only order the whole assembley and are refusing to look for something that's "close enough".

i repurposed the rubber boot from a spare front control arm for now, but i don't think it's a great fit - it sits pretty high. ideas?
