How can the car actually stop?!??! I seen rotors that have been destroyed by no changing the pad, but this is unbelievable

And to think that POS is driving out on the roads :

NO that is not a joke !! I have seen worse than that come into my shop. Once had a Volvo come in that was worn to the vanes on both sides of one front rotor, it had been metal to metal for many thousands of miles. Many states do not have inspection requirements and some of the cars that I had come in from West Virginia were downright scary. I would not test drive them around the block, much less over the mountains to get here !!

Well, friction is dimensionless so the operator wouldn't notice a lack of stopping power...just endurance!!

I had to look at the picture three times to realize what I was looking at! Kinda like when they bring the car in with no oil in the motor and ask if you can make the light on the dash go off.

Ah, that's the factory's fault. If they wouldn't make the piston travel so long, you'd know when you were out of pad

The first time I saw something like that was on a counter in a parts
house. After staring at it for a while, I asked "what kind of turbo
charger uses a 12" iron impeller ??"

Needless to say, there was a lot of laughter from the other side
of the counter.

The object was a rotor that had been removed from a large grain
truck. One side of the rotor had completely worn away, exposing
the vanes.

They drive among us.
