I'm looking to remove the door panel on my C5 for weight savings. Does anyone make an aftermarket light weight replacement with manual windows? The goal is the get rid of all the power equipment, speakers, etc for weight savings without everything being completely exposed.

those parts aren't very heavy, especially the panel itself. The glass is the heaviest part. You could gut the door, and then put the panel back on for aesthetics.

David is right. The panel itself is probably no more than a couple of pounds if that (I'm sure drivinhard could tell you exactly).

btw the doors are very very heavy assembled. when I took apart my totaled 01 when I took them off I was I'll weigh mine sometime
