Default C6 ZR1 Brakes on a C5

Has anyone successfully installed the C6 ZR1 brake rotors, calipers, and pads on a C5?

What was involved in the installation?

Does Brembo or any other company make a set of racing pads similar to Wilwood H or Hawk DTC-70 for these calipers?

There is a thread on this already.

One you would need 19" and20" wheels

the rotors and brake pads are made by brembo.

Carbon rotors need carbon brake pads

Only Brembo and Hitco make carbon rotors and brake pads.

Most of these are for F1 Cars

Stoptech does have a set of carbon rotors and brake pads for their set up.

The Brembo Carbon rotors and brake pads are made by Honeywell in Indiana

the Hitco rotors and pads are made by Carbon Industries in So Calif.

I had heard the kit was $15k, but I checked the parts on the GMPARTSCHEAP.COM web site yesterday and they totaled up to $8,525.32, plus shipping.

Tom,

I did a quick check looking for the thread, but all I could find were threads that speculate on the cost of the system and why you would or wouldn't want to buy them. Most were related to installation on a C6 Z06.

Oh yes, 19 inch front and rear wheels, assuming the correct offset, will clear the ZR1 rotors.
