Those running DBA two-piece rotors on a C6 Z06 - do the hats hold up cosmetically?

They don't stay black, they turn into a wierdish maroon color under heat.

But, other then that, they look fine.

interestingly enough, black wilwood caliper finish does exact same thing, so my front brake colors match almost exactly

if you are worried about the color... i suggest a high temp powder coating, or just JetHot for their pipe coatings some of which will be good up to 1400F

I use to paint my NAPA rotors with black brake caliper paint as the NAPA rotors had no protective covering on the hat and would rust solid after the first wash.

If I didn't track the car, the paint held up 100%. If I tracked the car, the paint would slowly wear away at the part closest to the actual rotor, but always looked better than when left unpainted and just rusting.
