From what I heard some staffer from NCM at some meeting several months ago (maybe close to a year now?) said that NCCC and it's emphasis on autocross / speed events didn't "fit" with NCM and their direction and NCCC was to be left out of the new wing at the museum. Seems they thought all Vette owners were just waxers.

That went over real well with the NCCC membership. A lot of those bricks out front were paid for by NCCC members and clubs.

Then the last I heard about it was that they had changed their minds and NCCC was still going to have a booth at the museum.

This all happened quite some time ago.

None of this is first hand but from fairly reliable sources.

Shoot, I forgot to ask our NCCC governor rep what the scoop was.
