How cool is it that they get to race by themselves, I mean they aren't running into slower cars by corner one and aren't dealing with lapped traffic. It's such a strange concept to me I'm not sure how I would handle it.

Hell I was on the outside pole this weekend (cause I got booted from my class because the other STR2 guys complained and they felt I was too fast for that run group, now I know how ST feels) running SU and by lap #2 we had caught the back of the field. It was crazy but fun.

Weekend was good, I ran SU and got two wins (second overall to Chris in that 900 hp monster) Ran TT on Sunday but nothing counted. Matt ran a 1:15.xxx in TTS on Sunday, that is moving for a C4.

The awards banquet was first rate, they did a real nice job, the food was good the company was great, Matt drank to much, all the normal stuff.

Geff got TTS Championship & ST2 Championship (Mid West)
Matt got TTA Championship (Great Lakes) & Instructor of the Year
John CeCe got TTB Championship and was also awarded Most Improved Time Trial Driver

I got ST2 Championship (Great Lakes) and Driver of the Year

I can't remember much else the Champagne was flowing & my 2 & 1/2 year old was parting with everyone till midnight

They pack that many cars in a 1/3 mile oval for the "endro" 4 wide, bumper to bumper all the way around the track.

You must have missed my post, I ran SU in the race on Sat and Sunday didn't count.

J/K Geff said he only had old tires so he was running 1:16s or something which was good enough to win TTS but no track record. Track was kind of slow on Sat.

I'm assuming you were driving the silver Nissan? We were the number 35 red neon. You are right, it was insane some of the packs of cars out there. Once we thought it couldn't get any crazier, it got dark. Already planning on next year.

Ken, great job this year. Congrats on the wins and driver of the year. Will you be at Grattan this weekend?

Congrat's to all the Vette drivers in the Midwest and Great Lakes!! I had a great time traveling to all of the Midwest events.

The banquet sounded like a great time, I was DE-ing at Road America otherwise I would have been there.

Looking forward to next year as well, should be some more great competition.

We were driving the #40 Eau Rude Nissan Sentra that was silver/red......We were top 4 with only 22.5 hours to go when the other 5 drivers on my team each started receiving the penalties that resulted in: 1) a 2 page essay on what casued the black flag penalty 2) writing some ridiculous statement on the car 100x 3) a tire being bolted on the roof of our car vertically 4) another tire being added to the roof of the car 5) a 30 minute timeout 6) I forget....... . These amounted to missing 3 hours of the event approximately.

Finished a dismal 46th I think, but had a great time and will definately be doing this again......Even the Pratt & Miller engineers entered and competed !!!

We had a great

To the OP, both organizations combine slow and fast races at the regional level.

Turnout at NASA events is growing by leaps and bounds so look for the ST1 / ST2 and SU separations to begin shortly at the National level.

I wish we had 2 miles for the 114 starters at CMP Lemons 3 weeks ago
We only had 1 mile of track

It was still a blast...

We will have to talk about this some more, I would love to do something like this. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a good example. I would love to find a short-bus to drive in one of these!!

Sorry to go off topic Ken!!
