Mid-Ohio SCCA T1 Sat Race In-car video (Club Course)
Ok, next up is the Sat race on the club course (using keyhole) and I started 4th overall and 1st in class. Still didn't realize the broken exhaust till later in the race when the check engine light came on and was popping bad and getting louder and louder not to mention down on power.
Still had fun but lap times were WAAAAAAY off at a 1:37.00 when they should have been in the 1:35 range.
One of my better starts, had a great move to the inside and even used the yellow pit out curbing a little too.
Enjoy,
Aaron

Ken's videos are the best, I am going to ask Santa for a good editing program for Xmas and maybe I could learn to be as good as him.

No clue dude, speedometer is broken if you look real close. I think if it was working I still could not tell you as my eye is focused on Mirrors, water, temps and pressure!

Forgot, 5th gear to keep the Rpm's/temps down and save the motor but sometimes I like to wind it all the way down in 4th at 6,800.
I really don't like to do that all the time cause i'm not making anymore power so it just stresses the motor.

Wow! Thats really spinning the engine! If your already ahead it makes sense not to strain the engine more than needed.

You'd cringe to see what I would run a stock LS6 to. I don't even use 5th at Road America in an LS2 (153mph) you do the math!
Great run Aaron!

Yeah, I read that wrong. I shift at 6700-6800 when I'm trying to be easy on the engine, at Miller my little drag race with a CTS took me to 7500 in 3rd

I'd go to 7300 easy, 7500 hard. Consider what your power is after the shift, thats how I make the shift analysis. 6800 is best for LS2. For LS6 I can't run the engine fast enough to hit that optimum point. LS6 is almost +30 HP on the LS2 at 7000, of course at 4000 it's a different story!

However for some reason 7400 comes to mind when I was talking to you at the Sprints.
Do you run the LS6 valvetrain in the LS2 or do you run the big heavy LS2 valves? If you're running the LS2 valves that's amazing to me. I could see the LS6 valvetrain handling those RPM's. Then again how long did your LS2 last at RA??
Not trying to be a smart *** just saying.

Well according to my math with a 3.42 rear gear and a 315/30/18 A6 (25.6" overall diameter) you should only be spinning the motor to 6900 at 153 mph.

All my failures have been bottom end oil starvation. Now that we have a dry sump, I'll break one from the top down hopefully. Haven't been able to do that yet :o

On subject, the Chase Cam instructions give the g output backwards. Pintarics had the same problem.
Braking at +1g, not really accurate! Plus the bar should be red on braking also. Spin it around, should work.
