Default Want to cancel the BCM on a 1999 FRC Corvette

would that cause me a problem? the car is a track only car i'm taking off anything that has nothing to do with the engine. did any of you do that?

To make a long story short. It's either all or nothing. We can set you up with a engine only harness that runs just the that function. Then you would have to come up with brake lines, a race style pedal, tail lights, gauges and things of that nature. It becomes quite the project.

I agree with all above, just leave it in. The wiring and a few misc boxes hidden away in the dash aren't hurting a thing, and weigh very little.

the problem is that the club i'm racing in put me in an open class, racing against cars that weight 150-300 lb less than me with similar power. i need to at least take of another 150 lb of the car and i ran out of things to remove.

Start cutting out weight. I don't know anything about your car, but weight is weight. I saved 2.3 pounds on the peice of steel that holds the front fascia on (by the hood) Took a 1/2 drill bit and started drilling. About an hours work. It takes time but it's well spent.
