NASA ST1 engines for sale
I have two engines that I am no longer needing. Here are the details. The first is my spare short block that I kept for my C5. The second is my freshened Nationals motor from 2008. Both of these are good for 560 hp to the wheels (perfect for NASA ST1) and going fast in general. If you are interested in either, contact me for more details.
433 ci short block (all new parts): $7500
new LS2 block with Darton sleeves (4.125" bore)
Callies Forged crank, 4.0" stroke
Callies Forged rods
Wiseco Forged pistons (good for 12.25:1 with my AFRs)
Total Seal Rings
Katech C5R timing chain
Katech oil pump
all ARP fasteners
Clevite 77 bearings
new Comp custom ground cam (I can provide the specs)
I think I have over $9000 in the short block with the parts and machining. It was hand assembled by Eric Koenig of HK Engines out of Texas. He is one of the more respected LS builders out there. It's still in the shipping crate I received it in.
or
behind door number 2 is my freshened race motor. I am de-powering my C5 ST1 National Championship car for use in ST2, so the fresh motor is getting pulled.
416 ci long block: $7500
AFR 225 heads hand ported by Tony Mamo
high lift springs fresh before the 25 Hrs
new Comp/T&D Shaft mount rockers
Crane billet lifters
new Smith brothers restricted push rods
LS3 block 4.080" bore, fresh hone
Wiseco forged coated pistons
new Total Seal rings
new Comp Cam (specs available)
new Clevite 77 bearings
Katech high volume oil pump
Cloyes dual row timing chain
Callies Forged crank 4.0" stroke
Callies Forged Rods
Cometic head gaskets
FAST 90mm intake
This motor has paddock time only on it. I drove it in and out of the trailer at Nationals. It has never even been on the dyno. The short block is built with great parts had has fresh pieces in it, but ultimately the crank, rods and pistons have some time on them (20 hours or so). The heads are very nice pieces and are worth a lot. I do not want to pull them and sell them though because the motor is a running unit.
Both are in Utah and can be crated and shipped.

Did I just hear that another ST2 car is being tossed into the ring? I like it.

ST2 car
I will have a new engine in the car hopefully in the next week or two.
It will be a freshened Texas Speed Products LS6 (2004 block) with new Mahle pistons, Scat H beam rods, stock crank, new LS 6 heads, new rings, Clevite calico bearings, double roller chain, Accusump etc. I personally have over 5 hrs in champhering oil return passages and polishing valley in this block to assist in oil drainback to batwing pan. Should be approx. 370-380 RWHP.
The suspension is all Pfadt (of course) - sphericals, camber plates, coil overs, sway bars.
I will be changing all fluids, rebuilding calipers, installing new rotors etc.
I will have complete details and photos after the car is finished.
Pricing will probably be around 28-29K. About 50% of what I have in the car. I will know once I finish checking car completely and finishing engine install.
Please PM me if you have any questions or interest in the car.
Thanks,
J.R.

Wow... all of a sudden I have the urge to sell some things to make room for an ST2 car, rather than building one from what I have.

Are you the same JR that ran the camaro in AIX when I ran my old #3 car in AI?
trackboss - Yes -
Aaron - sorry about jumping your thread but it is for the good of the team. Besides, if I sell it soon enough I may be able to buy one of your engines to go 200mph at Silver State.
Thanks,
J.R.
