Default Seat suggestions?

Could someone give me a suugestion for a good comfortable yet effective seat for track use? I may be driving to some events and to work a couple times a week (that's where the comfort part comes in). The car's a C6. I've played the change my seats after events game and I'm over that... I'm a bigger guy, 6' 220 with a 34" waist, so the seat can't be real small. I'm looking to spend no more than $600 a seat, but would gladly pay less! Also, may be interested in two used matching seats if you have something that would fit my needs. Thanks in advance for the help.......Todd

Caravaggio seats are another option. With the Caravaggio seat you use the stock seat rail. I am a 6' 285 pounds and fit the seat. Most of my weight is in my gut and not my hips and that is where it counts.

May miss your target price a little, but the Sparco Evo 2 has worked well for me .... 5-10, 220. I drive it on the street also and 3 to 4 hour trips to the track are no problem. Entry and exit takes some getting use to.

I am looking into a race seat also.
I like the Cobra Monaco FIA rated for $299.
The LGM track seat and the Kirkey road race seats.
If I had to buy a seat today the Cobra Monaco would be it.

Im 6'1, 200# with a 34" waist. I'd also suggest looking at the corbeau FX1 Pros. You'll like the price and they are comfortable..But much more then a 34" waist and youre pushing it in these. They also have the FX1 which is a wider seat, but I have no experience with how that fits in a C6 or C5.

Swapping seats in/out is really not that difficult. I'd recommend a set of Kirkey road racing seats. They're very comfortable for on track use, not that bad to get in/out of and best of all they'll provide a level of support and safety that's not available in a "hybrid" seat. Spend the 20-30 min to swap them out when you're done with a track weekend and then you have the nice cushy seats for the street.
