are these tires useful after they have had a track thrashing?

are the GY's compound done after a few years?

date stamping is week/year, 48/03, 48 week of 2003, IIRC

thanks
I ran a set of F1 super car EMT tires that were three years old 12 track days and they were good to the cord.

they are good when new but they age terrible. (in my experience) they are junk from 3-4 yrs on

I've ran 3 different sets on track, the older ones were terrible.

Good tire when new, and light, within a lb of a Hoosier R6/A6 in comparable size

try 'em and see

The F1SC is fine at 2 years but I think about 4 years is too old. When I bought my car it had original, 4 yr old tires and they had plenty of tread but they didn't stick at all. I bought 2 new rears and I really noticed a marked difference.

I would never use those as rears on track. If in a novice group I might use them as fronts. I don't like unexpected oversteer but understeer I can handle.
