Default '03 Z06 upgrade time....

Currently: callaway honker intake, melrose headers, ron davis radiator, oil/tranny coolers, accusump, wilwood brakes, suspension mods...

Entertaining the idea of:
AFR 205's, spec 3 clutch/flywheel, bigger injectors (?), cam (?), aluminum puck on one end of TT, ideas?? I want to get torque around 2K RPM up to at least 6500 RPM as I intend to set cutoff at about 7k.

I need to get started middle of Jan.....

Thanks..

unless you NEED a clutch, the Z06 clutch is very good. Also I personally had absolutely no improvement with the aluminum donut in the torque tube.

Heads and cam make the most sense to me if you really need more power. I'd address the drivetrain issues AS NEEDED.

I agree with David Farmer on the aluminum donuts - the system has to have some give for those of us with less then perfect downshifts everytime.

I run Z06 clutch and aluminum flywheel and it is great set up. When I get rid of it I would go to a 7" or 8" setup for track only. I don't think there is much useable tq @ 2,000
