Looks like Chris could run midpack in T1 trim with STO right now. That LS3 looks pretty strong.
And a C5 leading in qualifying? That's pretty sweet. Good luck guys!

MacNeil should pick up a little time. It's his first time driving the 430 and he hasn't been to Sebring in almost 10 years.
It's been cold there, how's the track holding up?

Just Chris.
Yes, David will get faster. He was puttering around learning the line from Mark Boden.
I wasn't following anyone, so I had to learn this track on my own. It can be intimidating in some places...I ran a 17.7 during my fourth session yesterday, but couldn't duplicate today because of traffic.

No problems with the track.
Chris is the only T1 car......he is extremely fast and very lonely.

What's the weather report today from Sebring Int'l?
What's the weather report today from Sebring Int'l?
Raining? Cold? Racing on black ice? Radiators and inlets all taped up? Got your double or triple layers of Nomex underwear on? I was going to drive up to watch but looks way to painful, weather wise.

I was so concerned about touching the other cars during the start, there are some really neat entries in this class, and look what I go and do. John's car is a work of art, he and I were admirring it earlier in the day. I am so sick.
John was gentleman enough to accept my apologies, but boy was he pissed off (and rightfully so). His car needs a front nose, probably a splitter, and I think Kurt told me an upright.
Mine (not that it matters)? Just a front bumper cover.
I tapped John in the right rear going into Turn 7. He took the "tradtional" line and I overshot it passing Jerry. He spun around and we touched nose-to-nose, that's where the big damage was caused.
My bad, and like I said, I am sick about it.
The only upside to this day is that STO is such a cool class. Porsche Cup cars, Ferraris, Vettes and Vipers. A true Super Car class.
BTW, I did end up finishing third, and ran some 2:16.5s during the race...I qualified with a high 2:18.

Thanks for the report Dave. Sorry to hear about the contact.
Was Saturday's race in the rain? I heard that the GT2 placed 1st with the 430 2nd.
Anyone show up to keep Chris company in T1?

Nope...not a soul (sole). The upside is that I now have my 4 races to qual for the runoffs, so for the rest of the year, I can just test...or maybe run STO and qualify for that too. Hmmmm

I gotta tell you Chris, I walked over with the guys to watch group 2 race...................and at the end of this 50 car +++ field, we see you go by. Can you imagine what some of those guys in Grp 2 are saying..."yeah we smoked a T1 corvette in our group"
Smart move on your part working that out with the stewards I was sitting on the grid for our race, when across the radio comes " there goes Chris going home" You probably picked up 2-3 hours!!!

That's got to feel good to get a win 2nd time out in the new car.
Sorry to hear about the incident, but as they say that's racing.
I'm looking forward to seeing what some of these STO cars will do at Road America come June.
Hey Chris maybe they'll finally give the LS3 a break since it couldn't even keep up with the Group 2 cars Good move saving the car
