Default AutoX In Northeast With Corvettes?

I am an autocrosser in the northeast but I am not aware of any Corvette clubs that run in the area. Are there any in the New York area?

we're in the NE, but I don't know if Devens is too far from you

How about CT?

There's autox's there.

EDIT

Here's the NY SCCA website

Not sure how far you are looking to drive but the Pittsburgh Corvette club used to hold Corvette only autox events at Beaverun Motorsports Park.

Thanks everyone. I am pretty active in the non-corvette autox groups like the scca.

Who runs at Devens? I run there sometimes with the Bay State Corvette Club in conjunction with some of the local groups.

I will check out the Pittsburgh option.

Come play with us in the steel-cities region... I run my 02 Z06 in SS and we have 1 other in SS as well in a C6Z06.
We run @ beaverun and also a little further south. Depending on where you live in NY, it might be far. If you're not far from Erie, PA... there is a region up there too.

Also Central Pa region runs outside of State College, PA that has some great drivers there and they run on airport lots as well.

http://www.steelcities-scca.org/

check on the Autocross section for the schedule. 1st TNT event is the 1st wekeend in May.

Also, while not an SCCA region, we have another local autocross group.. www.nhscc.com
we run there as well before Memorial day and after Labor day.

Hope that helps! Hope to see you out there

Check the NCCC East region calendar - all of the sanctioned autoXs will be there at some before the event - several clubs run in northern central PA area.

Just go to www.autox4u.com and click on the "Complete Schedule" tab to follow all the schedules in the NY/NJ/PA/CT and DC clubs.

Good luck, see you out there.

Where are you located in NY State? There is a 3 event NCCC Autocross on the weekend of May 15/16 at Edinburg, NY which is in the Albany Area. It is a great Go Kart track with an oval section, an uphill section with an off camber 90 degree left as you come off the hill and a string of esses.

Check this video: http://s58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...nt=momsrun.flv

There will be a NCCC 4 event autocross on July 18th at Cherry Valley Go Kart Track in Lafayette, NY which is about 15 miles south of Syracuse.

Check this video: http://s58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...ley_In_Car.flv

There will also be a single NCCC autocross combined with an SCCA event on August 14th in Binghamton, NY.

Thanks Bill. I will check out the ones you identified. I am pretty much a regular with the AutoX4U bunch and was looking for some Vette events off the beaten path.

Huh, so it is strictly a Vette event now? How many events are you going to run there?

I guess you could say the May event is off the beaten path. Tri Vettes out of the Albany area is the club running the event. The event is run on an old Go Kart Track located at the Edinburg, NY airport (a dirt field). You can find Edinburg on the map by looking for The Greater Sacandaga Lake which is north of Amsterdam, NY. Edinburg is at the northern end of the lake. It is about a 3 1/2 hour drive from where I live and probably about the same from the NY city area as long as you don't have to drive through the city.

My club has several people who participate in the NCCC's Northeast Region points championship and we attend both the Spring and Late summer events that Tri Vettes puts on at this track. We make it an overnight thing and have a great time partying on Saturday night. We would all enjoy having more Vette drivers attend. Usually the SCCA non Vette people who participate outnumber the Vettes by 2 or 3 to 1.

Is there a website that lists the NCCC Northeast Region events? I did a search on Tri-Vettes but did not turn up a website.

Here is the east region NCCC site:

http://www.ernccc.org/

And looks like here is their schedule:

http://www.ernccc.org/comp/points/Doc_points/cal.pdf

If you want to travel a little, come over to Indiana. We have a lot of autocrossing here quite a few 14 event weekends.
