Seems a little goofy that with 5-6 people in class , contingency is the same for 1st and 2nd.....add one more person for a total of 7 and 2nd and 3rd get the same pay out..not quite as lucrative to win as it used to be......

It's good that they are still supplying contingency ........

Bummer. Not many classes carry 7 entries.

You can no longer come out ahead. A $700 weekend to win $600 in tires.

Drag dude.

I can see a few last minute class changes for me. If I have less than 7 in PTA and I can be the 7th for ST2 I'll switch up. Ken and James can fight for the extra tire and I'll try to take 3rd for 1.

Interesting for sure... We were spoiled last year and this is still a GREAT program so Kudos again to Hoosier.

We might want to enter ST2R to make sure we have 7.

I hear about more cars being built about once a month. The car counts should be improving over the next couple years, I hope.

One question. If you are going to be running ST2 and trying to get into the nationals. Can you run other classes chasing tires???

You can run whatever class you want at Nationals as long as you have the required number of events.

But:

Tires will be awarded for a maximum of one official points paying race per day, and a maximum of two official points paying races per race weekend event. If a class has more than two races per weekend, the race class leader must indicate which two races are eligible for this program. If someone is competing in any race class and TT class on the same day, they may only claim an award for the highest one of those finishing positions. A maximum of four(4) tires can be claimed per event.
