Default T1 Sway Question

Sorry if I missed it in my futile search.

The rear sway bar has 3 holes. What are the diferences between the 3?

Thanks

About 2 inches.

If you put the heim joints in the first set of holes (inside), the bar is stiffer, so in theory the car would be looser. If you put the joints in the outside holes, the bar is less stiff so in theory would be less loose. Most of that depends on many other settings though. My suggestion would be to set them in the center hole at first and see how it does. ...adjust from there.

you can interchange the holes for 6 settings, ie one could be in the middle while one is softer/stiffer. You are increasing/decreasing the leverage the bar has against the suspension. I think it's great that GM added this feature to the second generation of t1 bars.........honestly just enough adjustment without actually causing issues for the weekend warrior.

Make sure you set them neutrally at all times with the car on the ground. I corner balanced a car at VIR a few years ago that had 200lbs of weight jacked into the suspension by the bars alone.
