DOT 4 Filler Cap
Anyone seen master cylinder filler caps marked with DOT4 or custom lettering perhaps "Castrol SRF" or "Motul 600" ?
For a C6 !

I would like one of those, too, but I would probably be DQ'd in the T1 tech shed for doing an illegal modification!

I'd do a background color, with the letters cut out of the front color, since this is more durable than sticking letters on top of the background. I'll cut one out later and see how it looks on my car. I can change lettering easily enough
These are small, so I could do them for $5.50 shipped normal mail

I'm not sure this is going to look too great. Sorry I didn't align this prototype very well (rush job), and the cap itself isn't symmetric to the car, so it might be more distraction for most OCD Vette owners.

Thanks for the quick prototypes David.
I am a bit worried about how the vinyl would hold up in the engine bay particularly to brake fluid!
Hope to get a set of custom etched chrome or billet caps.

PS> Do plan on contacting you for a few sets of numbers for HPDE/TT.

I'll just have to see how it holds up. I think it the OEM cap was perfectly smooth, it would hold up fine, as vinyl is very durable in general. However, it is just porous enough to peel, but they are small/cheap enough to be disposable.

I would take one of the "Castrol SRF Only!" ones, black with white lettering. I was getting ready to have a local shop do it, along with a couple of number sets, but the info on your site has been a great help to me. Let me know what I need to do.

for longevity, it is better to put the color UNDER the top color.....cutting out the letters instead of layering them on top. I can do multiple colors, but that is much trickier and time consuming. However, a few extra $$ should make it worth the effort.
