Any T1 Divers getting rid off their 17" wheels?
I am running into some issues with my current street wheels. The issue is, with the C6 calipers and BASE 12.9" rotor, the caliper hits the inner part of the rim right behind the spokes. It does not interfere with the spokes but the inside tapers down to the spokes and I need a 1"+ spacer to get it to work (something I am not comfortable doing). With my 13" J55 setup this was not an issue but because the rotor had a different offset. I know a CCW Classic works with both and is one of my styles, but I cannot buy new.
My question is which T1 guys are doing the brake upgrade and getting rid of their wheels, I am looking for some CCW classics in the front T1 size. I am looking for the more used and abused (but still round and usable) ones mainly because of cost. Any color/finish is ok because I will probably paint the centers anyway. I would have to sell my Torq Thrusts first but I want to see whats out there and what the prices would be.
Thanks guys!

I am thinking about selling mine, but I have to decide what calipers I am going with first.
I should know in a month or so....

I have not decided on the price, yet.
They are all in good shape. They are not show wheels, but they are all straight. They have all just been checked in the last month at the wheel straightening shop. They were either straight or tuned by the shop to be perfectly round again. I just used a couple sets of them to set track records at Auto Club Speedway and Streets of Willow Springs.

Since I only need the fronts (I want to use my current tires) I am hoping to get them for $500/pr or less. If they are not pretty thats fine. I will probably clean and paint them anyway.

Are you sure that the C6 brakes will fit in a 17" CCW???
I thought the C6 brakes required an 18" wheel.
FWIW - The T1 CCW for a C5 (17" X 10") will work on a C4 but the backspacing is less than ideal.

What is the BS on the 17x10? They look like they stick out more the a factory wheel on the C5, so I assume they will be ok. My Torq Thrusts were flush with the fender which is how I like it.

Given the uncertainty in the T1 brake rules, I'm going to defer spending big $$$$ on a brake option until later this year, maybe next. Whatever I do in the near term will fit under my current 17s, sorry. Good luck with your search.

I was able to find two wheels with black centers, so I guess I am just looking for one pair of fronts now.

C6 brakes fit in a 17" wheel - maybe not the Z51 bracket - but the caliper is fine...

Yes I am using the standard C5/6 12.9" rotor and a C6 caliper. The reason it didnt fit the other 17" wheels was because the inner profile of the wheel didnt allow it.

Just keeping this afloat. I know T1 guys are still unsure on a brake upgrade. Still looking for two fronts.
